David Henrie to Star in “The Weapon”

Wizards of Waverly Place star David Henrie is teaming up with Platinum Studios to develop their comic book series “The Weapon” into a feature film.

“Weapon” follows martial arts enthusiast and inventor Tommy Zhou, who has developed a ground-breaking portable innovation that an evil order will stop at nothing to steal. Released in 2007, “Weapon” was created by Platinum chairman and CEO Scott Mitchell Rosenberg.

David had this to say about starring in “The Weapon”: “The Weapon’ is so awesome, and my Disney audience will enjoy the empowerment and action-filled journey my character experiences. I’m a huge fan and student of MMA (mixed martial arts), and I hope to bring that to the character of Tommy.”

I have uploaded a BUNCH of stills for the upcoming season of Wizards of Waverly Place which will return with all brand new episodes next month (October)!!

Justin (Henrie) becomes fed up with Alex (Gomez) constantly going through his stuff and creates a female monster (Perry Mattfeld) to guard his room and think like Alex. However, Justin’s plan backfires when the monster and Alex become fast friends. “Franken-girl” premieres Friday, October 9 @ 8PM ET/PT on Disney Channel.

After the Russo’s are told by the Waverly Place Merchant’s Association that their haunted house has never been scary enough in Halloweens past, the family comes together to create the scariest haunted house ever. “Halloween” premieres Friday, October 16 @ 8PM ET/PT on Disney Channel.

David Henrie looks relaxed as a a black-headed parrot sits atop his shoulder in this new pic from his official Twitter.

The 19-year-old actor wrote, “It pooped on me immediately after this photo.”

And it seems his relationship with birds is way over. He told JJJ, “Wardrobe came in [and] cleaned me up real fast. I’m done with birds.”

David also poked fun at costar Selena Gomez after getting her sucked into the Twitter vortex. He said, “HAHA I GOT U HOOKED!!!!”

The duo spent Saturday night at the Ruben Dario fashion show.

The Wizards cast is currently filming the upcoming Wizards movie in one of Puerto Rico’s rain forests.
