Wizards of Waverly Place Cast

After the big finale of Disney’s Wizards of Waverly Place last Friday, Radio Disney has shared a new interview of the cast when they stopped by the RD Studios! In the video, Selena Gomez, David Henrie, Jennifer Stone, and Gregg Sulkin help make up their own spells, and reveal what they want to do in 2012!

“Write and direct a short film. I think it’d be a lot of fun.” David said. “It’s something I’ve always wanted to do and I hope I can do that.”

What does Selena want to do in 2012? She said, “I want to go into the studio and spend more time on my fourth record because all of the other records have kind of been rushed and really quick, quick, quick. I’m excited to take my time with it.”

Wizards of Waverly Place Cast

With the beloved Disney series Wizards of Waverly Place coming to an end this Friday (January 6), the cast members all reflect on some of their favorite moments in this new interview. Selena Gomez along with her cast mates David Henrie, Jennifer Stone, Gregg Sulkin, Jake T Austin, and Maria Canals-Barrera all sat down with Radio Disney for a look back on the four seasons of their show.

The cast discussed their favorite episodes, guest stars, as well as which episode was the hardest to film.

As the big series finale of Disney’s hit television show Wizards of Waverly Place approaches, stars Selena Gomez, David Henrie, and Jake T Austin sat down to talk about the final episode.

The trio revealed that the finale will offer fans closure, revealing who will win the family wizard competition and get to keep their powers. The three also revealed who they would’ve bet on to win the wizard competition!

WIZARDS OF WAVERLY PLACE – “Beast Tamer” – After Mason ignores Alex’s invitation to the Beast Bowl because he’s working on a secret anniversary gift for her, Alex goes with her brothers. At the dance, Alex meets Chase Riprock (Nick Roux), the undefeated beast tamer who has a crush on her. Meanwhile, Justin and Max get kicked out of the show for disturbing the beast, but find themselves participating in the show after all, in a new episode of “Wizards of Waverly Place,” premiering FRIDAY, JUNE 24 (8:00-8:30 p.m., ET/PT) on Disney Channel.

WIZARDS OF WAVERLY PLACE – “Meet the Werewolves” – Mason takes Alex to meet his family, but to her surprise, Mason has told his parents that Alex is a werewolf. Mason begs Alex to help keep up the facade so she turns herself into a werewolf, but the visit goes awry when she exaggerates her wolf like qualities. Meanwhile, Max performs a spell that accidentally turns his parents into four-year-olds, in a new episode of “Wizards of Waverly Place,” premiering FRIDAY, JUNE 17 (8:00-8:30 p.m., ET/PT) on Disney Channel.

“Wizards of Waverly Place” star David Henrie was recently given another shot at writing an episode for the series, after writing his first in 2010. Now, with his episode “Meet The Werewolves” set to air on June 17 on the Disney Channel, the multi-talented actor tells OnTheRedCarpet.com correspondent Chris Balish about his writing process, career aspirations and his philanthropy.

“It’s my second episode for the show. It’s a blessing, creatively to get to do this. It’s something that I’ve always wanted to do. Here’s my second at bat at it,” Henrie told Balish on the set of the popular series, which co-stars Selena Gomez.

On the show, Henrie and Gomez play siblings in the Italian-Mexian Russo family who are wizards in training living in Manhattan. The fourth season of the series, which will be Gomez’s last, airs its finale on June 24.

The actor says he learned a lot from his first time writing, which made his second effort go a little smoother. “When you write something it’s from your mind so you get so attached to it and for reasons being time cuts or when things aren’t working, you gotta be willing to cut things,” he said. “So it was much easier this time and it’s all for the better good of the script.”

“I would love to write more and continue to write for the show. To get to do it on a professional level and have it on ‘Wizards’ — it was absolutely amazing,” he added.

So what does he love so much about the writing process? Henrie says, “I just love being in the room, the rewriting process, getting to pitch jokes, break the stories with them, all of that.” The actor adds, “It’s really a family here and it’s really a team effort. So to get to be a part of that process behind the curtain it was great.”

The 21-year-old, who has made appearances on “How I Met Your Mother” and “That’s So Raven,” says he doesn’t want to stop at writing, “I would love to direct, that would be so much fun. We’ve all been doing it so long that we definitely know the process.”

“I think if you can control your future and sort of lay the bricks of your own foundation then that’s the best way to go,” he added. “I want to control my own future. The people I admire are the Apatows out there, the Sandlers, you know Vince Vaughn’s whole company. They sort of do their own thing.”
